Class Etiquette

Please be mindful to arrive on time for practice as both studios are open. Your practice  begins before the start of class.  Give yourself enough time to arrive on time and to settle into your mat.

Be courteous, limit franticness and body odor, turn off cell phone…common sense stuff.

If you have health concerns consult your doctor before beginning a yoga practice.  Another option would be Private Lessons.

It’s best to practice on an empty stomach.

What should I bring to class?  We have everything you need at the studio,  just show up with an open mind and a positive attitude.  If you have one, bring your own mat.  Water is is a good idea (though we recommend you come to class hydrated), and a small hand towel can also be handy for wiping away sweat for more vigorous classes.

Wear comfortable clothes.  Most people wear yoga/ athletic pants or shorts with a tank top or t-shirt. Keep in mind that loose fitting tees or shorts can be revealing in some poses and make it a challenge for your teacher to see your form.  And lastly, ditch the sneakers and socks -yoga is done with simple bare feet!

Please turn off ALL cell phone and electronic devices upon entry/arrival (if you have a special reason to have a phone with you, please let your instructor know).  We come to practice to unplug from our day-to-day.

Please observe quiet voices as your practice begins as soon as you walk into the yoga room.  This offers the opportunity to turn down the outside world and tune into your inner teacher.

Please leave personal items outside the yoga room as the space becomes sacred when we treat it as such.

Please no/limit perfumes as some students are sensitive.  We like you as-is.

Please clean studio yoga mats for the next student as it was done for you 🙂

Our yoga classes are geared towards the adult yogi.  However, if you are between the ages of 14 – 17 and would like to join a class, we would be honored to have you.  If possible, let us know ahead of time if your child will be joining us.  If you would like to start a youth yoga class and have several interested, please contact
